Most people with mobile phones have heard about the upsurge of the 4G network. What many people don’t know is that there is different types of 4G. There is HSPA+, which stands for Evolved High Speed Packet Access, and that is the lower end of 4G. By lower end I mean the slightly less powerful version of 4G and on the higher end is 4G LTE, meaning Long Term Evolution. Charlotte has had the 4G HSPA+ network for quite a while now, but just last year we bumped up to LTE from AT&T. Now our neighbors from Lake Norman to Monroe have access to 4G LTE for their AT&T devices like the new iPad! To look at a more exact list of where the 4G LTE service is available now, click here.
