Home Office Makeover

Working at home can be a blessing, but if you don’t have the right work space it’s hard to get motivated! Here are some ways to update your home office:

1) Storage– If you’re planning on renovating your office probably storage is the No. 1 priority. With so many papers, books and supplies to store, you’ll need shelves, drawers, and cabinets galore! Ikea and The Container Store are great places to start if you are looking for inexpensive ways to incorporate more storage.

2) Desk– Once you have storage under control, find a desk that’s stocked with everything you need: plenty of surface space, deep drawers and a high-quality material. If your going to splurge, this is where to do it… Find a desk that suits your personality! Transit Damaged Freight is a great place to start because they have some GREAT deals. Wayfair and West Elm would be my runners up because they have some really unique stuff.

3) Decor– Finally, take the time to personalize your room with plenty of photographs and interesting knickknacks. For this, you’ll just have to shop around. Places like TJ Maxx, Steinmart, and Hobby Lobby always have some fun office decor. Look for items such as: unique frames, quotes, clocks, candles, vases, and plants. Combine your new items with books and and pictures you already have and viola!
